Frequently asked questions
What hosts and property managers ask most about the free trial, plans, their prices and the data. If your question isn’t here, send us a message.
Getting started
What JokerPrice is, the free trial, what it costs and how to cancel.
What is JokerPrice?
A market data and pricing service for short-term rental hosts and property managers in the Gulf and Egypt. It shows what similar listings charge on Airbnb, Gathern and Agoda, estimates occupancy and revenue for each destination, and recommends a rate for every night in your calendar.
How does the free trial work?
Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial. You don’t need a payment card to start, and nothing is charged when the trial ends. You can add your properties, set your pricing rules and use the pricing calendar from the first day.
How much does it cost after the trial?
Host plans are SAR 49 per property a month, and the price per property falls as you add more properties. Paying annually costs the price of 10 months. The pricing page lists every plan. Market reports, the Market Atlas and the calculators stay free for everyone.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account stays open and nothing is deleted. Your properties, rules and calendars stay viewable, and you can still export them. Choose a plan whenever you want to keep pricing your properties.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Open Manage billing on your account page and cancel there, at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Your data stays in your account until you delete it.
Is JokerPrice available in Arabic?
Yes. The website, the app and account emails are available in Arabic and English, and you can switch language at any time. Market pages for the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman also show prices in their local currency.
Your prices
How recommendations are made, and why you stay in control of what you publish.
Will JokerPrice change my prices on Airbnb, Gathern or Agoda?
Not unless you approve it. JokerPrice recommends a rate for each night and lets you download a rate file, and you update your listings yourself. If you use Hostaway, you can connect it, review the rates for the next 30, 60 or 90 nights and approve a send; Hostaway then passes them on to Airbnb and your other channels. Nothing is sent automatically, and JokerPrice never connects to your Airbnb, Gathern or Agoda account directly.
Do I need to connect my platform accounts or share my passwords?
No. JokerPrice never asks for your Airbnb, Gathern or Agoda password. Market data comes from public listings, and you add your own properties and rules. If you like, you can link a property’s calendar export (iCal) so its booked nights appear in your pricing calendar. If you use Hostaway, you can also connect your Hostaway account to send the rates you approve. The key you create in Hostaway is exchanged for an access token and is not stored.
How is my recommended price worked out?
From comparable listings near your property, priced for the same stay dates, then adjusted for weekends, events and holidays and kept within the minimum and maximum prices you set. When there are too few recent comparables for a night, the calendar uses your own rules for it and says so.
Market data
Where the numbers come from and how far to rely on them.
Where does the data come from?
From public search results and availability calendars on Airbnb, Gathern and Agoda. JokerPrice is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of these platforms.
How accurate are the occupancy and revenue figures?
They are estimates, not booking records. A night that closes between two daily checks counts as booked; long or far-ahead closures count as owner blocks, and nights already closed at the first check are left out. Revenue uses asking prices before fees and discounts. The guide “Reading occupancy estimates” explains the method.
Which countries and cities are covered?
Saudi Arabia and Egypt (Cairo) through Airbnb, Gathern and Agoda, and the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman through Airbnb and Agoda. A destination gets a public report once it has at least 20 listings.
How often is the data updated?
Tracked calendars are checked about once a day. Public market reports are rebuilt at most every 30 minutes.
Why does a market say “collecting”?
Occupancy and revenue stay hidden until a destination has at least 7 days of calendar tracking and 100 observed listing-nights, so a few noisy days are never presented as a market figure.
Your account and privacy
Who can see your data and how to take it with you or remove it.
Who can see my properties and pricing rules?
Your workspace is private to your account. It is never shown to other users or used in public reports, which are built only from public listings. The privacy notice explains what we store and which providers process it.
How do I delete my account or my data?
In account settings, choose “Download my data” to keep a copy, then “Delete account” to permanently delete your account yourself. Cancel any paid plan in Manage billing first.
For developers
The API and the MCP server are described in full on the developer pages.
Is there an API?
Yes. Signed-in users can create personal API keys under Data & API. The API documentation lists the endpoints, and API pricing lists each plan’s request limits.
Can I use JokerPrice data in an AI assistant?
Yes. The hosted MCP server lets assistants that support the Model Context Protocol look up market data and revenue estimates with your API key. The MCP server pages explain how to set it up.
