Every night has a price. Some nights are jokers.

Weekend nights, Eid, Riyadh Season, the Dubai Shopping Festival and the week of a big conference are jokers. JokerPrice reads the market every day, finds them and prices every night in the calendar.

Card

Portrait 5:7, with a corner radius of 14% of its width, filled with madder.

Diamond

A white diamond with a smaller madder diamond inside it: the ʿayn, or eye, of Sadu weaving.

Corner indices

A Latin J at the top start corner and an Arabic ج at the bottom end corner, like a real card’s two corners. The ج stays upright, because turned it reads as a 2.

Sizes

From 64 px the mark carries its indices. At 32 px and smaller they are dropped and the diamond grows; at 16 px the eye closes so the diamond stays crisp.

Scale

Setting text

• Latin display text is tracked −0.025 em. Arabic letters join, so Arabic tracking stays at zero.
• Body line height is 1.6 in Latin and 1.85 in Arabic; display is 1.1 and 1.35.
• Prices and counts use tabular figures and stay in Latin digits on Arabic pages, isolated so they read left to right.
• Lines stay under about 70 characters.

• A weekday night on wool.
• A weekend or high-demand night, warm with saffron.
• The joker in madder: its rank replaces the date, and the card says how far it sits above the week.
• The date and weekday sit at the top start corner and repeat at the bottom end, like a playing card.
• The rate sits in the centre in tabular figures, with its currency beneath.
• Everything else sits on panels: a 12 px radius, a 1 px line and no shadow. Shadows are only for things that float: menus, popovers and the dealt hand.

The homepage story

The homepage tells one story as the visitor scrolls, in five steps. Under reduced motion every step is simply in place.

1. The hand, in 3DThe coming week is dealt into a fanned hand in perspective, 70 ms apart, with the joker last.
2. The hand becomes the monthAs the page scrolls, each card leaves the hand and lands on its own night in the month below. The joker lands last.
3. Sections enter with depthPanels lift from a slight tilt, rows slide in from the start side and bars grow, each settled a third of the way up the window.
4. The Atlas board flattensDistrict circles lie on a tilted board with their price pins standing up, and the board turns to face the reader.
5. Background and chromeA Sadu-diamond lattice drifts behind the hero, and the header turns solid over the first 88 px.

Everything else moves only in answer to the visitor: opening, expanding, confirming. Only transform and opacity animate, and with reduced motion the cards are simply there.

Product videos

A 30-second tour in English and Arabic, a vertical cut for stories and reels, and a silent 7.5-second loop. The hand is dealt with the joker last, then the product as it is: the Atlas in Riyadh, Dubai and Doha in their own currencies, choosing the comparables behind an estimate, the pricing calendar with every adjustment explained, the regional events calendar and the free-trial end card. Every price in them is sample data.

• Arabic is a first-class language, written for Arabic readers rather than translated as an afterthought.
• No hype, such as “revolutionary” or “AI-powered”, and no apologies in errors.
• Never invent data. Sample figures are labelled as samples.
• An empty state tells the visitor what to do next.
• Sections open with a plain heading and one sentence: no all-caps or eyebrow labels, no strings of middle dots, no arrows after links and no single coloured word in a headline.
